Everyone has voices inside their heads. You know you do, admit it. You have heard
them, those little voices in the back of your head. The ones that whisper to you ever so softly. The voice that tells you
that it's alright to have just one bowl of Rocky Road Chocolate Death ice cream. That the lawn doesn't need to be mowed right
when the games on. That voice.
Sometimes they speak and we don't listen. We end up doing what they say, anyway. Like
at X-mas, when you pass one of those people outside ringing the bells, you toss them your lose change, almost without thinking.
That was one of those voices whispering.
Or remember the little voice that tells you, YOU must have
those (insert item here) in order to be kool and styling. Did anyone stop to think why we need $120.00 pair of shoes we'll
never wear outside our house, because they may get you killed?
Nope?
But truly, everyone has heard them. Most
people chuck them up to their Conscience, their ego or id, the "inner" them. Whatever you want to call it.

IN: (prep) 1) used as a function word to indicate inclusion, location,
or position within limits. 1)used as a function word to indicate manner, state, or situation. (adj) 1) being inside or
within (prefix) 1) within 2) into 3) toward
SANE: (adj) 1) mentally sound and healthy. 2) sensible, rational.
LATIN: sanus = "health, sane"
Thus, INSANE, by the English definition of the words IN &
SANE should mean a person, state, manner, or action within the boundaries and/or state of sanity. IE: mentally sound,
Now
shouldn't it?
Then why do they call the mentally unstable Insane. Clearly, they are not mentally sound. If they were,
we wouldn't have a problem, right?

UN: (prefix) 1) to do the opposite of. 2)
deprive from. 3) release from. 4) remove from. 5) opposite of, contary to.
They are clearly unsane, IE: not within a normal state, place, manner, of sanity.
Now this will clear up my pet peeve about that evil word, INSANE. A word thought up by Lawyers, for the evil purpose
of..... STOP. I digress.
This is another can of worms I don't feel like opening. Such a troubled topic I have stumbled
on.
"One man's evil is another man's good."
(...don't listen to her....those voices are nothing but her warped mind playing
tricks on her...)
Back to those pesky voices...
Ever stop to really
listen, or worse yet, think about those voices? Where they came from, why are they there, when did they first appear? Some
people do, they ask themselves questions like, "Why did I say that?" or "Why am I doing this?" or my favorite, "That came
from ME?"
Yeap.
The answer to that question is two-fold. Both yes and no. I once was told that a certain friend
believed that the voices were his dead ancestors. Another person swears they are different facets of her personality. Who
knows?
You know what? One day I did stop to listen to those voices. This was long ago
when my life was rapidly heading toward the grave.
In fact I can remember the date. It was the day I went Unsane.
Guess what? They {the VOICES in my head} were shocked that I listened to them. Almost as much as I was to find out
there were that many VOICES in my skull.
I didn't know what to label them; parts of my personality, spirits, figments
of my un-hinged mind.
That was long ago, today I can't imagine a day without them, even if I don't stop to listen
to them.
And you what really scares me.
The thought that they might not be there when I next need them.......
